Bio-based textile recycling took center stage this June. MoeBIOS partner Next Technology Tecnotessile (NTT) exhibited at the Textile Recycling Expo in Brussels on 24-25 June.
Bio-based textile recycling samples on display
NTT’s booth showed visitors the different stages of the MoeBIOS textile waste valorisation process. This work sits under Work Package 3: Development of demonstrators based on recycled biobased plastics. Visitors saw PLA-based textile waste, shredded PLA textile, PLA pellets, and recycled PLA-based yarn. Together, these samples trace the material’s journey from waste to usable yarn. The booth also displayed PBS multifilament yarn made from post-industrial waste, next to the PBS pellets used to spin new recycled yarns.

A consortium moment
The event also brought consortium partners together in person. Jaime, from coordinating partner ITENE, visited the NTT booth during the expo. The team marked the occasion with a group photo, a small reminder of the collaboration behind every MoeBIOS milestone.
